Two Arkansans Win Big Playing $2 Instant Games

LITTLE ROCK, Ark.

Two lucky Arkansans won big prizes this week playing $2 instant games.

Logan Dobbs, a Mountain Home resident, won $25,000 playing the $2 20X the Win instant game. He claimed his prize at the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery Claim Center on June 10.

The winning ticket was purchased at 24 Hour Fuel on 403 Highway 62 E. in Mountain Home.

Logan is a frequent lottery player who prefers to buy $20 worth of tickets at a time. He recently won two $500 prizes with tickets purchased at 24 Hour Fuel and, in hopes of winning a bigger prize, bought 10 more $2 tickets from the same retailer.

As luck would have it, the very last 20X the Win ticket in his bundle held the $25,000 top prize.

“God just showed up,” Logan told lottery officials, still in disbelief.

Logan has philanthropic intentions for his prize; in addition to helping his family and investing in a small business, he plans to donate to a church.

Following Logan’s win, two top prizes are left on the 20X the Win instant game.

Another winner, Savanah Jarrett of Everton, won $20,000 playing the $2 3 Ways to Win! instant game. She also claimed her prize on June 10.

The winning ticket was sold at LJ’s Liquor on 10339 Highway 62 W. in Pyatt.

Savanah often plays the lottery and prefers crossword-inspired instant games. During a recent trip to the liquor store, however, the Everton resident decided to buy the last handful of 3 Ways to Win! games left in the bin.

Savanah’s husband, Eden, scratched off the winning ticket at home. Thinking that Savanah had only won $2, he set it aside and forgot about it.

Unbeknownst to the pair, the ticket actually held the $20,000 top prize. The win would have gone undiscovered had Savanah not noticed.

“What’s bad is that ticket sat there for three weeks,” Eden laughed.

The $20,000 prize was more than a shock to the couple; Savanah had previously only won $5 at most playing her crossword instant games.

“On the way up here, we were still kind of in denial,” Savanah said.

Thus far, the couple has only told close family about the win, though Savanah admitted they struggle to keep secrets. She plans to catch up on bills and spoil her two kids with her prize.

Two top prizes remain on the 3 Ways to Win! instant game.
