How To Play

Cash 4

PICK YOUR NUMBERS: Select a four-digit number from 0000 to 9999. Use a playslip to mark your numbers or mark the Quick Pick (QP) box for randomly-generated numbers.

BUY YOUR TICKET: Select a play amount of either 50 cents or $1. The play will default to $1 if no amount is marked. Printed Cash 4 tickets can only be canceled within 20 minutes after printing. ASL retailers cannot cancel Cash 4 tickets sold for a given draw after sales have been suspended for that drawing.

PLAY MULTIPLE DRAWINGS: To play in more than one Cash 4 draw, select up to 14 Multi Draws – up to 14 draws for midday or evening draws each, or up to 28 draws for both midday and evening. Mark DAY to play in the next midday Cash 4 draw, or EVE to play in the next evening draw. If not marked, the ticket will be for the next draw. Choose BOTH to play the next two Cash 4 draws, one midday and one evening. Mark the day of the week you wish to play Cash 4. If not marked, the ticket will be for the next Cash 4 draw.

CHECK YOUR TICKETS: Winning numbers are available at MyArkansasLottery.com or from your local retailer.

PLAYSLIP INSTRUCTIONS
1) Mark a wager amount with a blue or black ink pen or a pencil. The default amount is $1 if not marked. Double-check your completed playslip and present to ASL retailer to receive a printed ticket. Printed Cash 4 tickets can only be canceled within 20 minutes after printing. ASL retailers cannot cancel Cash 4 tickets sold for a given draw after sales have been suspended for that drawing.
2) Mark up to five plays per playslip, marked Play A through Play E. Each represents a different play.
3) If you make a mistake, do not erase. Mark the VOID box and use the next Cash 4 play.
4) Mark QUICK PICK (QP) to have numbers randomly selected by the terminal.
5) Select Cash 4 play type: STR (Match numbers in the exact order drawn), BOX (Match numbers in any order), STR/BOX (Combine a 50 cent STRAIGHT play and a 50 cent BOX play) or COMBO (Equal to a STRAIGHT play for every combination possible for the number selected). If not marked, the ticket will default to STRAIGHT play.
6) Mark only one number per column, select four numbers between 0 and 9, any of which can be the same.
7) To play in more than one Cash 4 draw, select up to 14 multi-draws – up to 14 draws for midday or evening draws each -- or up to 28 draws for both midday and evening.
8) Mark DAY to play in the next midday Cash 4 draw, or EVE to play in the next evening draw. If not marked, the ticket will be for the next draw. Choose BOTH to play next two Cash 4 draws, one midday and one evening.
9) Mark the day of the week you want your Cash 4 play to start. If not marked, the ticket will be for the next Cash 4 draw.

CASH 4 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

Playing Cash 4

Q: Where is Cash 4 played?
A: While many states have games similar to Cash 4, the Arkansas Cash 4 game is only played in the state of Arkansas.

Q: How and where are the numbers drawn?
A: Cash 4 numbers are drawn using computerized random number generators at the Lottery offices in Little Rock.

Q: Can any of my numbers be the same?
A: Yes. You can select any combination of four numbers from 0-9, any of which can be the same.

Q: Can a number be sold out?
A: Each possible number combination has a liability (potential total payout) limit per draw. When the liability limit for a combination of numbers is reached, the selection of that combination will be closed for that draw. No wager will be allowed by the terminal that would cause the liability for that number to exceed the liability limit. The liability limit may be modified at the sole discretion of ALC.

Q: What is the difference between Straight and Box?
A: If you select a Straight play, the numbers drawn must match your selected numbers in the exact order. A Box play means the numbers drawn can match your selected numbers in any order. Straight carries higher prizes than Box because there is only one way to win Straight and several ways to win Box.

Q: What is the difference between Box and Combo?
A: With a Box play, the numbers drawn can match your selected numbers in any order. A Box prize is less than a Straight prize played with the same wager amount because there are more ways to win with Box. In a Combo play, you are purchasing every Straight combination possible. This results in a higher ticket price and a potential prize equal to what the Straight prize would be at that wager amount. For example, selecting a $1 wager amount and Combo Play with the numbers 1234 would create a ticket costing $24 ($1 for each of the 24 combinations of the numbers 1234) and a potential prize of $5,000, the same prize as a $1 Straight play.

Q: How do I select 4-Way, 6-Way, 12-Way, or 24-Way Box?
A: The Box type is determined automatically based on the numbers you select. 4-Way refers to a number combination with 4 ways to win (ex. 1112 has 4 ways to win Box: 1112, 1121, 1211, or 2111). 6-Way refers to a set of numbers with 6 ways to win (ex. 1122). 12-Way refers to a set of numbers with 12 ways to win (ex. 1123). 24-Way refers to a set of numbers with 24 ways to win (ex. 1234).

Play It Again™

Q: Can I enter non-winning Cash 4 tickets in Play It Again™?
A: No.

Purchasing Tickets

Q: How much does Cash 4 cost?
A: The ticket cost depends on play type and wager amount selected. For example, a $1 Straight play costs $1, while a 24-Way Combo play with a $1 wager selected totals $24. A Straight/Box play costs $1.

Q: Can I purchase Cash 4 tickets in advance?
A: To play multiple upcoming draws, mark on the playslip from 2 to 14 Multi Draws for either midday or evening or from 2 to 28 Multi Draws for both midday and evening. To play for a particular day of the week other than the next upcoming draw, mark the desired day of the week on the playslip.

Q: How late can I purchase tickets before the draw?
A: Cash 4 sales are suspended four minutes prior to each draw.

Q: Can a Cash 4 ticket be cancelled?
A: You can ask the retailer that you purchased the ticket from to cancel the ticket within 20 minutes after it was printed. Less time would be available if it is within 20 minutes of the draw.

Prizes and Claims

Q: Do Cash 4 tickets expire?
A: Prizes must be claimed within 180 days of the draw date in which the prize was won.

Q: Can I redeem a winning Cash 4 ticket in any state?
A: No.

Q: I lost my ticket. Can I claim a prize with a playslip or store receipt?
A: Cash 4 prizes can only be claimed with a ticket printed from the lottery terminal. Playslips or store receipts will not constitute proof of purchase. Lottery tickets are bearer instruments, meaning the person who presents the ticket for claim will be presumed to be the owner. Always sign the back of any lottery ticket immediately.
