Powerball Jackpot Surges to $1 Billion for Saturday Night; LOTTO Jackpot Rises to $955,000
Arkansas lottery players could win life-changing prizes with Saturday night’s drawings.
The Aug. 30 Powerball® jackpot skyrockets to $1 billion. Climbing up the Powerball jackpot rankings, it is now the sixth-largest jackpot in the draw game’s history. It is also the sixth Powerball jackpot to reach the billion-dollar mark.
Powerball drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday night at 9:59 p.m. Tickets cost $2 per play, and ticket sales cut off at 8:59 p.m. on the night of the drawing. To win the jackpot, a player must match all five white balls and the red Powerball number.
Also drawing Saturday night, the LOTTO jackpot is $955,000.
LOTTO is an Arkansas-exclusive draw game with drawings every Wednesday and Saturday at 9 p.m. Six numbers and a Bonus Number are drawn. To win the jackpot, players must match the first six winning numbers. Players who match three or more numbers, with or without the Bonus Number, are eligible for other prizes.
Powerball and LOTTO tickets are available for purchase at licensed Arkansas Scholarship Lottery (ASL) retailers and through retailer apps from ASL’s Play on the Go partners. For more information about the Play on the Go options, visit the Where To Play page on the ASL website.
