Powerball Jackpot Sets New Record at $1.9 Billion; LOTTO Jackpot Surges to $627,000

Little Rock, AR

Powerball’s world record jackpot run is not over yet! The Powerball® jackpot now stands at an estimated $1.9 billion with a cash option of $929.1 million for tonight’s drawing.

The Powerball jackpot rolled after no ticket matched all six numbers drawn Saturday night – white balls 28, 45, 53, 56, 69 and red Powerball 20. The Power Play® multiplier was 3X.

Arkansas’s newest game – LOTTO – also continues to grow. The winning numbers in Saturday’s drawing were 2, 6, 19, 22, 31 and 36 with a Bonus Number of 25. The jackpot for Wednesday’s LOTTO drawing is $627,000.

“Like the rest of America, and the world, I think we’re all eager to find out when this historic Powerball jackpot will eventually be won,” said Eric Hagler, Arkansas Scholarship Lottery executive director. “As the excitement continues, we would like to remind players that Powerball – like all lottery games - was designed to be a fun and relatively inexpensive form of entertainment. Please, know the odds and play within your limits. It only takes one ticket to win.”

Hagler reminds players to check their tickets for one of the nine ways to win. Despite there being no jackpot-winning ticket, 54,734 winning tickets were sold in Arkansas for Saturday’s Powerball drawing with $708,644 in prizes won. Two lucky players in Fayetteville and Bentonville each won $50,000 by having four white ball numbers plus the Powerball. However, because the player in Fayetteville purchased Power Play® for an additional $1, he multiplied his prize by three to win $150,000.

There were 29,644 players in Arkansas who multiplied their winnings with Power Play in Saturday’s drawing. Arkansas lottery players won $3,321,442 in Powerball prizes this past week.

Tonight’s drawing will be the 41st Powerball drawing since the jackpot was last won on August 3. The jackpot run has tied the game record for the number of consecutive drawings without a grand prize winner. The only other Powerball jackpot run to reach 41 consecutive drawings ended on Oct. 4, 2021, with a $699.8 million winner in California.

Powerball tickets are $2 per play. Tickets are sold in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. More than half of all proceeds from the sale of a Powerball ticket remain in the jurisdiction where the ticket was sold.

Jackpot winners may choose to receive their prize as an annuity, paid in 30 graduated payments over 29 years, or a lump sum payment. Both advertised prize options are prior to federal and jurisdictional taxes. The overall odds of winning a prize are 1 in 24.9. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million.
