Powerball Jackpot Rises to $526 Million for Tonight’s Draw
The Powerball® jackpot has surged to $526 million for the drawing scheduled tonight, Wednesday, Aug. 13.
So far this year, eight Arkansan players have claimed Powerball prizes worth more than $500, with two of these players winning at least $100,000.
Powerball drawings occur every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 9:59 p.m. During each drawing, five white balls numbered between 1 and 69 and one Powerball numbered between 1 and 26 are drawn. To win the jackpot, a player must match all six numbers. However, players who match at least the Powerball number can win alternative prizes.
Powerball tickets cost $2 per play, and ticket sales cut off at 8:59 p.m. the night of the drawing. Players can boost their non-jackpot winnings by adding the Power Play® option for an additional $1. Power Play multiplies non-jackpot winnings by 2, 3, 4, 5 or 10 times. Players who match the five white balls without the Powerball number can win up to $2 million with Power Play.
These tickets are available for purchase at licensed Arkansas lottery retailers and through retailer apps from ASL’s Play on the Go partners. For more information about the Play on the Go options, visit the Where To Play page on the ASL website.
