Perry County Man Claims $50,000 Lottery Prize
One Arkansan landed his biggest prize yet with his lucky lottery-playing routine.
Bob E. of Perry County won $50,000 playing $50,000 Frenzy, a $20 instant game. He claimed his prize at the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery Claim Center on March 13.
Bob, a daily lottery player, has developed a personal routine for playing instant games.
“I don’t know if you call it a system or what,” Bob told lottery officials. “But I always go home and get my lucky nickel to scratch.”
So far, the system has worked well for the player—he has won several $5,000 prizes, as well as $500 last week. Still, Bob had his sights set on an even bigger prize. He purchased a $50,000 Frenzy ticket at one of his favorite retailers and went home to scratch it off.
To Bob’s surprise, he uncovered a $1,000 prize with a 20X multiplier.
“Whoa! Are there any more?” he thought.
He kept scratching, and sure enough, there was another 20X multiplier and a $10,000 instant win symbol on Bob’s ticket. Altogether, he had landed the $50,000 top prize.
“I was so surprised,” Bob shared.
Excited, the lucky winner texted his wife the phrase “OMG” five times in a row. Initially concerned, Bob’s wife celebrated when he announced his $50,000 win.
The Perry County resident has no plans for his prize but intends to continue playing lottery games. He even has a few more winning tickets to claim.
Sixty-three top prizes worth $50,000 each remain on $50,000 Frenzy.
