Natural State Jackpot Ticket Worth $230,000 Sold in Lonoke; Beebe Man Wins $50,000 Playing $20 Instant Game

LITTle Rock, Ark.

One lucky player won big in last night’s Natural State Jackpot (NSJ) drawing, and a second recently claimed their greatest prize yet.

A winning NSJ ticket worth $230,000 was sold at Doublebees #131, 100 Dee Dee Lane in Lonoke, for the April 6 drawing. The winning numbers were 11, 22, 23, 30 and 32.

This ticket is currently unclaimed. The winner has 180 days from the draw date to claim their prize.

The jackpot for tonight’s NSJ drawing has reset to $50,000.

Beebe resident William C. won $50,000 playing $50,000 Frenzy, a $20 instant game. He claimed his prize at the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery (ASL) Claim Center on April 4.

The winning ticket was purchased at Cash’s #4470, 607 Highway 65 N. in Dumas.

William, a weekly lottery player, bought the winning ticket while traveling throughout Arkansas. Although he plays regularly, the Beebe man has no favorite ticket or retailer. Instead, he tells store clerks that he prefers $5, $10, and $20 tickets and leaves the rest to chance.

“I just say, ‘Pick me something!’” William told lottery officials. “I have no strategy.”

William occasionally wins $5 with this routine, but unbeknownst to him, he would soon land a much bigger prize.

The Beebe resident purchased a few instant games and then scratched them off at home with his wife.

“There’s no way—there’s no way!” William exclaimed.

One of his tickets, a lucky $50,000 Frenzy instant game, held the $50,000 top prize.

In disbelief, William searched the ticket for fine print that indicated it was fake.

“Why wouldn’t it be real?” William’s wife asked. She urged him to visit the ASL Claim Center to collect his winnings.

William, unconvinced, believed it “just wasn’t his luck.” The Beebe resident had never won nor expected to win such a large prize. He was content knowing that his tickets helped fund student scholarships in Arkansas. Still, William later visited the ASL Claim Center and confirmed that he had indeed won $50,000.

“I just still can’t believe it’s real,” the lucky winner shared.

William plans to use his winnings for his business.

Fifty-nine top prizes worth $50,000 each remain on $50,000 Frenzy.
