Mid-October Brings Big Lottery Wins to Arkansans; Unclaimed Mega Millions Ticket Worth $30,000 Sold in Sherwood

LITTLE ROCK, Ark.

Yesterday was an especially lucky day for three Arkansas lottery players.

Pamela S. of Bay won $100,000 playing the $6 Million Blowout! instant game. She claimed her prize at the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery (ASL) Claim Center on Oct. 15.

The winning ticket was purchased at Jordan’s Kwik Stop 51 on 108 N. Bay Drive in Bay.

Pamela, a daily lottery player, purchased the winning ticket as part of her usual lottery-playing routine. Having won $15 the previous day, she bought the last available $6 Million Blowout! ticket for $5 and an additional ticket for $10.

The Bay resident returned to her car to scratch off her ticket, soon discovering she had won the $100,000 top prize. She initially believed her prize was much smaller, though.

“I thought, ‘Oh, I won $100,’” Pamela shared with lottery officials. “Then I saw the comma behind it!”

Stunned, the lucky winner returned to the convenience store to show the clerk her ticket. She even left a small part of it unscratched, hoping not to “mess it up.”

Once the clerk confirmed her win, Pamela called her husband to share the good news. He later accompanied her to the ASL Claim Center.

“I can’t believe that little $5 ticket did that,” Pamela said, still in disbelief about her prize.

The Bay resident plans to save most of her winnings and use the rest to purchase a new vehicle.

One $100,000 top prize remains on the $6 Million Blowout! instant game.

Another winner, Little Rock resident L. Austin, won $75,000 with a $3 ticket for Yahtzee™ Squared purchased at Doublebees #121, 1324 John Barrow Road in Little Rock. She also claimed her prize on Oct. 15.

Austin bought the winning ticket along with two other Yahtzee Squared tickets. She had just finished changing clothes when she realized she won the $75,000 top prize.

“Did I just win $75,000?” the Little Rock resident thought.

She immediately rushed to the convenience store to scan her ticket. With her win confirmed, Austin called a “meeting” with her husband and son to share the good news.

“I’m very grateful,” Austin shared with lottery officials. “It’s not a million dollars, but it’s life-changing for me.”

Austin plans to invest her winnings in savings, pay a few bills and keep some for herself.

One $75,000 top prize remains on the Yahtzee Squared instant game.

A winning Mega Millions® ticket worth $30,000 was sold at Circle K, 118 Country Club Road in Sherwood for the Oct. 15 drawing. The winning numbers were 22, 34, 44, 54 and 62, and the Mega Ball® number was 3. The Megaplier® multiplier was also 3.

The winner matched four out of five white balls to win $10,000. Because they purchased the Megaplier® for an additional dollar, their prize tripled to $30,000.

This ticket is currently unclaimed. The winner has 180 days from the draw date to claim their prize.
