Mega Millions Jackpot Surges to $1.1 Billion, New LOTTO Jackpot Increases to $1.168 Million
The Mega Millions® jackpot for tomorrow night’s drawing has reached an astronomical $1.1 billion, making it the third largest Mega Millions jackpot and the fifth highest lottery jackpot in the United States ever.
Arkansans won a total of $172,382 in prizes in the Mega Millions drawing Friday night, with one lucky player in Arkadelphia winning $30,000. Two players in Fort Smith each won $1,600; two players in El Dorado and Berryville each won $1,500, and eight players in Stuttgart, Hazen, Little Rock, Cabot, Elkins, Hot Springs and Glenwood each won $600.
A total of 10,342 winners (out of 19,998 winning tickets sold in Arkansas) multiplied their prizes by three because they purchased the $1 Megaplier®
LOTTO - the state’s newest game which is only played and won in Arkansas - has increased to $1.168 million for Wednesday night’s drawing. On Saturday 4,020 players won LOTTO prizes totaling $26,641, including five who each won $1,500 and nine who each won $500.
The Powerball® jackpot for tonight’s drawing has grown to $340 million. The lottery’s Lucky for Life® game also offers players a chance at winning $365,000 a year for life or a one-time payout of approximately $5.7 million. And the Natural State Jackpot, which is exclusive to Arkansas, has climbed to $380,000 for tonight’s drawing.
The Arkansas Scholarship Lottery launched its popular 5-Buck Bundle promotion on Jan. 1. For only $5 a player gets three chances of winning a big jackpot. They receive a $3 Powerball ticket with Power Play®, a $2 LOTTO ticket and a free Natural State Jackpot ticket. The promotion will run through February.
In addition, two $20 scratch-off tickets each have $1 million prizes available. The $1,000,000 Cash ticket has three top prizes in market, and the $1,000,000 Riches ticket still has one $1 million prize left on it.
