Mega Millions Jackpot Skyrockets to $527 Million
The Mega Millions® jackpot soars to $527 million ahead of the Friday night drawing.
The Mega Millions jackpot has been hit twice in 2024, once in March at $1.128 billion and a second time in June at $552 million.
Mega Millions drawings occur every Tuesday and Friday at 10 p.m. CST. Five balls numbered 1 to 70 and one ball numbered 1 to 25 are drawn. To win the jackpot, a Mega Millions player must match all six numbers drawn.
Winners have 180 days from the draw date to claim their prize. If more than one player holds a jackpot-winning ticket, the prize is split evenly among the winners.
The jackpot amount resets to $20 million once hit.
Ticket sales cut off at 9:45 p.m. the night of the drawing, and tickets cost $2 per play. For an additional $1, players can purchase the Megaplier® option to multiply any non-jackpot winnings by 2, 3, 4 or 5 times.
Players must be 18 years old or older to purchase a ticket.
Mega Millions tickets are available online and at licensed Arkansas lottery retailers. For a list of online options, visit the Where to Play page on the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery website.
