Little Rock Woman Wins $25,000 with LOTTO Ticket; LOTTO Jackpot Rises to $3.667 Million
One lucky Arkansan won big during the Sept. 25 LOTTO drawing as the game’s overall jackpot continues to rise.
Little Rock resident Rebecca H. won $25,000 with a LOTTO ticket ordered via the Jackpocket mobile app. The winning numbers were 4, 11, 14, 19, 32 and 35. The Bonus Number was 6.
Rebecca, a frequent lottery player, ordered the winning ticket as part of her usual routine. The morning after the drawing, the Little Rock woman received an email from Jackpocket informing her that she had won a $25,000 prize.
“Come on, that can’t be real,” Rebecca thought.
The lucky winner showed the email to her company’s IT department, believing it was spam. To Rebecca’s shock, they confirmed that the email was real—she had indeed won $25,000.
She matched five out of six winning numbers, as well as the Bonus Number, to win the prize.
“I’m totally happy with what I’ve won,” Rebecca shared with lottery officials.
Rebecca plans to pay off her credit card and purchase a Louis Vuitton backpack with her winnings. She also intends to put the rest in a Certificate of Deposit.
The LOTTO jackpot is $3.667 million for Wednesday night’s drawing.
LOTTO drawings occur every Wednesday and Saturday at 9 p.m. Six numbers are drawn, plus a Bonus Number. A LOTTO player must match the first six numbers to win the jackpot. Alternate prizes are available for players who match three or more winning numbers, with or without the Bonus Number.
Since the LOTTO jackpot was last won, nine Arkansas lottery players have claimed $25,000, and an additional 360 players have claimed at least $501.
LOTTO Tickets are $2 per play, and ticket sales cut off at 8:59 p.m. the night of the drawing.
LOTTO tickets are available at licensed Arkansas lottery retailers and online. Visit the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery’s Where to Play to learn more about purchasing lottery tickets online.
