Lafayette County Woman Claims $50,000 Instant Prize

LIttle Rock, Ark.

One lucky Arkansan switched up her lottery playing routine and landed a massive win.

D. Bobbitt of Lafayette County won $50,000 playing $50,000 Frenzy, a $20 instant game. She claimed her prize at the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery Claim Center on March 3.

The winning ticket was sold at M & M Quik Stop #1, 809 E. Antigo St. in Stamps.

Bobbitt had just finished her shift at work when she purchased the winning ticket.

“Something was just telling me to buy a ticket,” Bobbitt said.

The Lafayette County woman “never plays big.” She prefers $1, $2 and $3 tickets and only plays lottery games when she has extra cash. This time, however, the player had an extra $20 and decided to buy a $50,000 Frenzy instant game.

“I’m just going to try my luck,” she thought.

Little did she know, her ticket would hold her biggest prize yet.

Bobbitt scratched off her ticket in the car while a friend drove her home. The Lafayette resident saw a dollar sign and suspected she had won a prize, but she continued scratching to confirm. Sure enough, she had won the instant game’s $50,000 top prize.

“I screamed!” Bobbitt told lottery officials. “I just freaked out; I wasn’t expecting it.”

The driver pulled over, concerned that something was wrong. Their fears were relieved when Bobbitt shared the news of her win.

The lucky winner plans to pay off debt and save money with her prize. She also intends to continue playing lottery games.

Sixty-seven top prizes worth $50,000 each remain on $50,000 Frenzy.
