Instant Game Brings Big Prizes to Arkansans; $25,000 LOTTO Ticket Sold in Jacksonville

LITTLE ROCK, Ark.

Little Rock resident Britney C. recently won $50,000 playing the $20 $50,000 Blast instant game. She claimed her prize at the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery Claim Center on March 29.

The winning ticket was sold at Kwik Check III on 7715 Geyer Springs Road in Little Rock.

Britney purchased the winning ticket during her weekly lottery run. The woman often calls her “Granny,” with whom she shares a very close connection, for advice on what games or winning numbers to play. This time, she purchased a $50,000 Blast ticket from the bin labeled “10,” as her birthday was March 10.

She scratched her ticket off at home a few hours later, hoping for a big win.

“I was sitting on the floor, on my knees,” Britney said.

Lucky for Britney, her ticket held the winning “10X” symbol and granted her the $50,000 top prize. In disbelief, the Little Rock resident called her grandmother, who began to cry over the good news.

“We stayed on the phone for a long time,” Britney said. “That was the most special moment.”

Britney looks forward to “a new beginning” with her prize. She plans to pay off her vehicle, invest in going back to school and save some money for her children. She is also working toward buying a new home.

Tony M. of Mabelvale also recently won $50,000 playing $50,000 Blast. He claimed his prize on March 29.

The winning ticket was sold at Bauxite Food Mart on 17000 W. Sardis Road in Bauxite.

Tony purchased the winning ticket on his way to work. As a daily lottery player, the Mabelvale resident prefers $20 scratch-off tickets, and the occasional Powerball®, Mega Millions® or Natural State Jackpot ticket when jackpots are high. Sticking with his routine, he purchased three $20 tickets. Unbeknownst to Tony, he had bought his luckiest bundle yet.

The man scratched each ticket while still in the store. The first ticket awarded him a $20 prize, while the second ticket awarded him $50. The third ticket granted him the $50,000 top prize.

“I couldn’t believe it,” Tony shared with lottery officials.

Elated with his win, the Mabelvale man shared the news with everyone he knows.

Tony intends to make one purchase with his prize; then, he’s turning the money over to his wife, who has already started making her own plans.

“I told her, ‘Whatever you want to do,’” Tony said, laughing.

Following these recent wins, six top prizes remain on the $50,000 Blast instant game.

A $25,000 LOTTO ticket was recently sold for the March 27 drawing. The ticket was purchased at Phillips 66 South Bend on 4071 Highway 294 in Jacksonville. The winner has 180 days from the draw date to claim their prize.
