Hot Springs Woman Claims $50,000 Instant Prize; Weekend Jackpots Rise for In-State Games
A Hot Springs woman recently turned a $100 lottery prize into an even bigger win.
Porscha Rollek won $50,000 playing $50,000 Stacked, a $20 instant game, and claimed her prize at the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery (ASL) Claim Center on Jan. 20.
The winning ticket was purchased at Smokes #35, located at 1545 Malvern Ave. in Hot Springs.
Rollek bought her ticket after cashing in $100 from an earlier win. An occasional lottery player, she was drawn to $50,000 Stacked because she previously had luck with other Stacked games. The win streak continued as Rollek returned home, scratched her ticket and realized she had won a $50,000 top prize.
“I started crying,” Rollek told lottery officials. “I was so happy!”
Rollek first told her mother about the big win, who screamed in response. The lucky winner also shared the good news with her children, whom she plans to take on a trip with her prize.
Seventy-six $50,000 top prizes remain on $50,000 Stacked.
Jackpots for two Arkansas-exclusive draw games, LOTTO and the Natural State Jackpot (NSJ), continue to rise. The LOTTO jackpot is $703,000 for Saturday night’s drawing, and NSJ stands at $540,000 for tonight.
LOTTO and NSJ tickets are both available in ASL’s limited-time 5-Buck Bundle promotion. Players who ask for the 5-Buck Bundle will receive a $3 Powerball® ticket with Power Play®, a $2 LOTTO ticket and a free NSJ ticket. The promotion ends Feb. 28. All tickets must be Quick Picks, and players must be at least 18 years old to purchase any lottery product.
