Arkansas Scholarship Lottery To Host LOTTO Day at Arkansas State Fair

LITTLE ROCK, Ark

As a sponsor of the Arkansas State Fair and Arkansas Livestock Show Association, the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery (ASL) will host LOTTO Day at the State Fair on Saturday.

LOTTO is the lottery’s new draw game that was launched a couple of weeks ago. Fair goers will receive $2 off admission when they show a LOTTO ticket at the gate.

The lottery will have an activation station from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. just inside the front gate to the fair where the public will have the opportunity to purchase lottery tickets, play a game to win lottery swag and take a selfie with their favorite numbers while sitting on the lottery’s purple couch, which is the focus of the new LOTTO television spots.

People who find a lucky LOTTO number placed around the fairgrounds and scan the code to download the Jackpocket app will receive a free LOTTO ticket.

The main stage will be named the LOTTO Main Stage for the duration of the fair, and ASL will also present two $1,000 scholarships to youth participants in the Livestock Show.

Eric Hagler, ASL executive director, said since the mission of the lottery is to maximize proceeds for scholarships, that presenting two scholarships to students showing livestock at the fair is most appropriate.

“Participating in the fair’s Livestock Show is the highlight of the year for many of the youth from around the state,” Hagler said. “We are pleased to be a part of the program this year.”

LOTTO is only played and won in Arkansas. Drawings are held at 9 p.m. in Little Rock every Wednesday and Saturday. Each play costs $2. The jackpot for tonight’s drawing is $398 thousand. As with any lottery product, a player must be at least 18 years old to purchase a ticket.
