$200,000 Instant Ticket Sold in Bentonville; Melbourne Man Wins $21,270 AR Progressive Jackpot

LITTLE ROCK, Ark.

Two lottery players won big this week with instant tickets and Fast Play games.

Juan C. from Albertville, Alabama, recently won $200,000 by playing the $10 Multiplier Mania instant game. He claimed his prize at the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery Claim Center on July 16.

The winning ticket was purchased at Walmart #2686 Fuel Station on 1803 E. Central Ave. in Bentonville.

Juan purchased the winning ticket while working in Bentonville. Usually not a lottery player, his friends convinced him to buy a ticket while they were on break. Not having a favorite ticket, Juan purchased the same Multiplier Mania game his friends had selected.

Lucky for Juan, his ticket held the $200,000 top prize.

“Is this real?” he asked.

Stunned, the Albertville resident called his mother via FaceTime to show her the winning ticket.

“Look, it says the winning numbers!” Juan announced, trying to assuage her disbelief.

With his prize, Juan plans to invest in a house.

Two $200,000 top prizes remain on the Multiplier Mania instant game.

Another winner, David Phelps of Melbourne, won $21,270 with a $5 ticket for the AR Progressive Jackpot Fast Play game. He claimed his prize on July 15.

The winning ticket was purchased at Smokers Friendly #77 on 210 E. Main St. in Melbourne.

David, a daily AR Progressive Jackpot player, purchased the winning ticket on his way to work. He usually wins at least $5 and expected this ticket to be the same. To his surprise, however, the clerk scanned his ticket and announced that he had won the jackpot.

“When she told me I won, I thought she meant like $2,000,” David told lottery officials.

He had, in fact, won much more. The AR Progressive Jackpot had climbed to $21,270 by the time David purchased his ticket.

The Melbourne man first shared the good news with his boss, who is also a lottery player.

With his prize, David wants to pay off his credit cards and save money.
