Lawrence County Man Wins $250,000 Play It Again Prize; Two LOTTO Tickets Worth $25,000 Each Sold for Saturday Drawing
An unsuspecting Arkansan recently got a second chance to win big with a non-winning lottery ticket.
Lawrence County resident Jason W. won $250,000 in the Jan. 21 Play It Again® Second-Chance drawing with a non-winning $350,000 Riches ticket. He recently claimed his prize at the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery (ASL) Claim Center.
Jason plays the lottery weekly and regularly enters his non-winning tickets into The Club for special second-chance promotions and Points for Prizes®. However, he never expected to receive a phone call from the lottery saying that he had won $250,000 in that morning’s Play It Again Second-Chance drawing.
Wary, the Lawrence County resident believed it was a scam.
“I’m going to look it up while you’re on the phone with me,” he told the caller. Play It Again winners may verify their win by checking for their name on the Drawings & Winners page of The Club website.
To his surprise, Jason had, in fact, won the $250,000 prize. He shared the good news with his wife, and the pair rushed to the ASL Claim Center.
“I’m just happy we got a second chance,” Jason told lottery officials. “This is life-changing.”
The lucky winner plans to pay off bills and take a vacation with his prize.
The next Play It Again Second-Chance drawing is scheduled for May 22. The prize is $250,000. To see a list of eligible games or redeem points for prizes, visit The Club on MyArkansasLottery.com.
