Mountain Home Man Wins $100,000 With Ticket Ordered Via Jackpocket

LITTLE ROCK, Ark.

A $3 lottery ticket turned into a $100,000 win for one lucky Arkansas lottery player.

Mountain Home resident Jeff L. won $100,000 with a Powerball® ticket ordered through the Jackpocket app for the Dec. 7 drawing. He claimed his prize on Dec. 10.

The winning numbers were 1, 31, 43, 55 and 57, and the Powerball number was 22. The Power Play® multiplier was 2.

Jeff, a weekly lottery player, always orders his Quick Pick tickets through Jackpocket for convenience. Although he plays regularly, the Mountain Home man never anticipated winning a big prize with his ticket for the Dec. 7 drawing.

“It was just one of those shots in the sky,” Jeff told lottery officials.

To his shock, Jeff received an email from Jackpocket the morning after the drawing informing him that he had won a Powerball prize.

The Mountain Home resident cautiously checked his numbers, initially believing the email was a scam. His ticket matched four out of five winning numbers and the Powerball number to win a $50,000 prize. Because Jeff also ordered his ticket with the Power Play multiplier option, his winnings doubled to $100,000.

“You know what?” Jeff said. “I think I might have actually won!”

Still stunned, the Mountain Home man passed the ticket to his wife, who confirmed that he had in fact won the $100,000 prize.

“It didn’t really sink in until last night,” Jeff’s wife said. “And we still didn’t want to get our hopes up until we got to Little Rock!”

The couple has only shared the good news with their immediate family.

Jeff is currently still determining his plans for his winnings, but he does intend to continue playing lottery games. He has his eyes set on the next big Powerball jackpot.

The Powerball jackpot is $30 million for tonight’s drawing.

Powerball tickets are available at licensed Arkansas lottery retailers and through retailer apps from ASL’s Play on the Go partners. For more information about the Play on the Go options, visit the Where To Play page on the ASL website.
