Arkansans Win Big with Weekend Drawings; Mega Millions Jackpot Soars to $619 million
Two lucky Arkansans won big lottery prizes in this past weekend’s drawings.
A winning Powerball® ticket worth $100,000 was ordered through the Jackpocket.com app for the Dec. 7 drawing. The winning numbers were 1, 31, 43, 55 and 57, and the Powerball number was 22. The Power Play® multiplier was 2.
The Arkansas Scholarship Lottery partners with retailers like Jackpocket.com to offer players a convenient way to play lottery games on the go.
Saturday night’s winner matched four out of five winning numbers and the Powerball number to win a $50,000 prize. Because they ordered their ticket with the Power Play option, their winnings doubled to $100,000. The winner is one of six nationwide to land this prize.
The Powerball jackpot for tonight’s drawing is $20 million.
A second Arkansas lottery player won $10,000 in the Dec. 6 Mega Millions® drawing.
The winning ticket was purchased at Bauxite Food Mart, 17000 W. Sardis Road in Bauxite. The winning numbers were 16, 21, 33, 39, and 45. The Mega Ball® number was 24, and the Megaplier® multiplier was 2.
These tickets are currently unclaimed. The winners have 180 days from the draw date to claim their prize.
The Mega Millions jackpot for tomorrow night’s drawing is $619 million. It marks the tenth time the jackpot has exceeded $600 million in the draw game’s history. The last Mega Millions jackpot was claimed at $810 million on Sept. 10 this year.
