Pine Bluff Man Wins $50,000 Playing Instant Game; Friday Night’s Mega Millions Jackpot Becomes Tenth Largest in Game History
One lucky lottery player recently claimed a big prize at the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery (ASL) Claim Center.
Pine Bluff resident John T. won $50,000 with a $20 ticket for the $1,000,000 VIP Club instant game. He claimed his prize on Dec. 4.
The winning ticket was purchased at Exxon One Stop, 2901 W. 28th St. in Pine Bluff.
John bought the winning ticket at his favorite retailer as part of his daily lottery-playing routine. After scratching his ticket, he knew he had won a prize, but he was unsure how much. It took a trip to the ASL Claim Center for the Pine Bluff resident to discover that he had won the game’s $50,000 second-tier prize.
“I felt elated,” John told lottery officials. “I won!”
John noted that he’s no stranger to winning big, having previously landed other $50,000 prizes. Still, he is satisfied with his prize.
So far, the lucky winner has only shared the good news with his niece. He has yet to decide what he wants to do with his winnings.
One $1 million top prize remains on the $1,000,000 VIP Club instant game.
The Mega Millions® jackpot is $579 million for tomorrow night’s drawing. It is the tenth-largest jackpot in the multi-state draw game’s history. The Mega Millions jackpot has been hit three times in 2024, and each of those jackpots has also entered the game’s top ten.
Mega Millions tickets are available at licensed Arkansas lottery retailers and through retailer apps from ASL’s Play on the Go partners. For more information about the Play on the Go options, visit the Where To Play page on the ASL website.
