Monday Brings Million-Dollar Wins for Arkansans; LOTTO Jackpot Rises to $3.493 Million for Wednesday Night Draw

LITTLE ROCK, Ark.

Monday brought big lottery wins for several lucky Arkansas players.

A Jacksonville man won $1,000,000 with a $20 ticket on the $1,000,000 VIP instant game. He claimed his prize at the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery (ASL) Claim Center on Sept. 16.

The winning ticket was sold at Kum & Go #158, 2050 Dave Ward Drive in Conway.

The Jacksonville resident was working in Conway when he stopped to buy lottery tickets. He initially only purchased one ticket and won nothing. However, after returning to his truck, he decided to give the game a second chance.

“Maybe the next one’s a winner,” he thought.

The man purchased the next available $1,000,000 VIP ticket and, luckily, won the $1,000,000 top prize.

“My mouth just fell open,” he shared with lottery officials. “Am I looking at this right?”

The Jacksonville man plans to pay bills and retire with his winnings.

A winning Powerball® ticket worth $1,000,000 was purchased at Casey’s General Store #3414 on 4751 W. Don Tyson Parkway in Springdale. The winning numbers were 8, 9, 11, 27, and 31. The Powerball number was 17, and the Power Play® multiplier was 5.

This ticket is unclaimed. The winner has 180 days from the draw date to claim their prize.

Another lucky Arkansas lottery player could become a millionaire with tomorrow night’s LOTTO drawing. At $3.493 million, the jackpot is the highest in the game’s history.

LOTTO tickets can be purchased at licensed Arkansas lottery retailers or online. For more information about buying lottery tickets online, visit the Where to Play page on the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery website.

LOTTO tickets cost $2 per play, and ticket sales cut off at 8:59 p.m. the night of the drawing.
