Contest Rules — March Ticket Madness
Eight tickets will compete. LOTS of people will win! One scratch-off game will be crowned champion! Take part in the action by entering “March Ticket Madness” from the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery.
There are two ways to play. First, you can take a guess at who will win it all. If you get it right, you could win the grand prize! Second, you can vote for your favorite ticket during our daily Facebook polls. Every participant is entered to win one of 20 $50 scratch-off ticket bundles! See the details below on how to enter.
1. THE CONTEST. The March Ticket Madness Giveaway (“the contest”) is a social media giveaway sponsored by the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery (“the sponsor”). Vote for your favorite tickets to be entered into a random drawing for one of 20 $50 scratch-off ticket bundles! Guess the ticket that goes all the way from the outset and you are entered to win the grand prize, $200 in scratch-off tickets! Which ticket will win it all? You decide!
2. THE ENTRY PERIOD. The first entry phase of this contest begins at noon on March 19, 2019, and ends at 11:59 p.m. on March 28, during which time participants may submit their guess for which ticket will win the championship, to be decided during our Facebook Live event at noon on April 8, 2019. From March 30–April 8, a series of poll questions will also be posted to the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery Facebook Page. Participating in a poll by submitting a valid comment will enter you to win one of 20 scratch-off ticket bundles prizes worth $50 each.
3. HOW TO ENTER. To play for the grand prize, take a guess at which ticket will be voted the champion by lottery fans. Make your vote as a comment to our organic contest post or ad. If the championship game on April 8 goes how you predicted, you’re automatically entered to win a grand prize of $200 in scratch-off tickets. To play for daily prizes, just vote during one of our head-to-head ticket competitions starting March 30 and ending with the championship livestream at noon on April 8.
4. ELIGIBILITY. This contest is open to anyone 18 or older who submits a valid entry during the entry period. Only one entry per user will be considered. Arkansas Scholarship Lottery employees are ineligible for this giveaway.
5. PRIZE WINNER SELECTION. Prize winners will be selected at random. All participants who guess correctly during the first entry phase will be entered into a drawing for the grand prize. The winner will be announced during the Facebook Live event beginning at noon on April 8. Other prize winners will be chosen at random from daily poll participants. Winners will be announced the following day via Facebook.
6. HOW TO CLAIM YOUR PRIZE. If you are announced as a prize winner, we will contact you through direct message on Facebook within 24 hours of the announcement. If you have a question about your prize, or if you miss our communications, you can also direct message us. All prizes will be mailed, so a valid mailing address will be required to receive your prize. Winners have seven days from the announcement to claim their prize; otherwise, another winner will be randomly selected. This process will continue until a prize is claimed.
7. PRIZE LIMITATIONS. Contest prizes will be awarded in “as is” condition. Prizes may not be substituted for another or for monetary value. Lottery tickets awarded as prizes may not be accepted by or legally given to anyone under the age of 18.
8. RELEASE: To the fullest extent permitted by law, in exchange for the opportunity to enter and participate in the competition and win the prize, you (for yourself), your heirs, next of kin, administrators and executors forever waive, release and hold harmless (“RELEASE”) any and all rights, claims, damages, liabilities, costs, attorneys’ fees, expenses and causes of action whatsoever (“CLAIMS”) that you may have against the sponsor, the competition vendors and suppliers, its affiliates, employees and agents, vendors and suppliers, the judges, prize providers and each of their respective related entities (The “RELEASED PARTIES”), and each such released parties’ officers, directors, employees and agents. This release covers, without limitation, any claims arising directly or indirectly out of your entry into and participation in the competition, your status as an entrant, finalist and/or a potential and/or actual winner, and/or use or non-use of prize and includes, without limitation, claims based on personal injury, death, property damage, libel, slander, defamation, invasion of privacy/publicity, portrayal in a false light and any claim relating to the sponsor hereunder. Further, you hereby release the released parties from any third-party intellectual property claims arising from or in connection with your entry. This RELEASE survives the expiration of the competition.
9. PUBLICITY: Except where prohibited, participation in the contest constitutes your consent to the Sponsor’s use of your name, likeness, voice, opinions, biographical information, submitted materials, hometown and state for promotional purposes in perpetuity in any media, worldwide, without further payment or consideration to you and without obtaining any prior approvals.
10. FACEBOOK DISCLOSURE: This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Facebook. You understand that you are providing your information to the Organizers and not to Facebook. The information you provide will only be used as outlined above in the PUBLICITY section.
