Student Follows Passion for Teaching Thanks To Lottery Scholarship
Ruthie Lenards | Ouachita Baptist University
Ruthie Lenards is passionate about becoming a teacher. She “loves and adores” her classes at Ouachita Baptist University where she studies elementary education.
Growing up in Jonesboro, Ruthie comes from a family of educators, including her grandfather, mom and aunt. Ruthie says the Lottery scholarship helped relieve the cost for her parents to put her and her sister in college.
“If it wasn’t for this scholarship, I wouldn’t be able to attend the school of my dreams,” says Ruthie.
