About the Game

ABOUT THE GAME

LOTTO is a draw-style game that is exclusively played and won in Arkansas. LOTTO drawings are held every Wednesday and Saturday at 9 p.m. The LOTTO jackpot starts at $250,000 and increases after every draw until won.

PLAYING LOTTO

Q: Who can play?
A: Anyone 18 or older.

Q: Where and when are LOTTO drawings held?
A: LOTTO drawings are held in Little Rock at 9 p.m. every Wednesday and Saturday.

Q: Which has better odds, picking my own numbers or requesting a Quick Pick?
A: Whether you pick your own numbers or have the terminal randomly select numbers for you, the odds of winning are the same.

PURCHASING TICKETS

Q: How much do LOTTO tickets cost?
A: LOTTO tickets cost $2 per play.

Q: Can I purchase LOTTO tickets in advance?
A: To play multiple upcoming drawings, request from 2 to 20 Multi Drawings either on the playslip or through the retailer. Multi Drawings will include the next upcoming drawing and be consecutive from that drawing. Drawings cannot be skipped.

Q: How late can I purchase LOTTO tickets on a draw night?
A: LOTTO sales are suspended one minute prior to the drawing – at 8:59 p.m.

Q: Can a LOTTO ticket be voided or canceled?
A: No. Once a LOTTO ticket has been printed, it cannot be canceled.

Q: Can I buy tickets online or by mail?
A: LOTTO tickets can be purchased from any Arkansas licensed lottery retailer and by downloading the Jackpocket app.

THE DRAWING

Q: How does the LOTTO drawing work?
A: A player selects six numbers from 1 to 40. On Wednesdays and Saturdays at 9 p.m., seven numbers are drawn from the same pool of 40 numbers. Six main numbers and one *Bonus Number.  The seventh number drawn will always be the Bonus Number. The player will then match their own six numbers against the seven numbers drawn to win.
*The Bonus Number is an additional number drawn with the six main numbers. As all the numbers are drawn from the same pool of numbers, the Bonus Number can’t be the same as one of the six numbers in the same draw. Players don’t pick the Bonus Number. It is randomly drawn to increase a player’s odds of winning.

Q: Where can I find the results of the LOTTO drawings?
A: The LOTTO results will be available after every drawing at:
1.    MyArkansasLottery.com/games/LOTTO
2.    Any licensed ASL Retailer
3.    Selected news partners across the state

PRIZES

Q: How do I win?
A: A player who matches the first six numbers (main numbers) drawn wins the jackpot. The Bonus Number is relevant if a player matches five, four, three, or two main numbers. Players who match the Bonus Number win even better prizes.

Q: Where can I check my ticket to see if I have won?
A: LOTTO tickets can be checked at any licensed ASL Retailer, online at MyArkansasLottery.com/games/LOTTO, or by using the app to access winning numbers. Download “ASL Club” in the Google Play or Apple App Store.

LOTTO JACKPOT

Q: What happens if more than one person wins the jackpot?
A: If there is more than one jackpot-winning ticket, the prize will be split equally between the jackpot winners.

Q: How does the amount for the LOTTO Jackpot work for each drawing?
A: The LOTTO jackpot starts at $250,000. Each drawing the jackpot is not won, the amount increases for the next one based on the sales of the game. When the jackpot is won by matching the first six numbers drawn, it will reset to $250,000 for the next drawing.

Q: What happens if the jackpot is not claimed?
A: If the jackpot is not claimed within 180 days of the draw date on which the prize was won, the jackpot funds will be returned to the state of Arkansas.

BONUS NUMBER

Q: What is the Bonus Number?
A: The Bonus Number is the seventh number drawn from the same pool of 40 numbers. Players will match the Bonus Number against one of the six numbers on their ticket.

Q: Why don’t I need to choose a Bonus Number when buying my ticket?
A: When players purchase a LOTTO ticket, they will have six numbers on their ticket. This is the same for all entries, whether for one drawing or playing weeks in advance. The Bonus Number is the seventh number generated at the time of the drawing from the pool of 40 numbers. Players do not pick the Bonus Number, so it is not printed on a ticket.

Q: So, what is the Bonus Number for?
A: The Bonus Number gives players, who have matched five, four, three, or two of the six numbers they selected, a chance to win even better prizes. For example, the prize for matching five numbers without the Bonus Number is $1,500, while the prize for matching five of the first six numbers drawn plus the Bonus Number is $25,000. It also creates a new prize tier for players who have matched two of the first six numbers drawn plus the Bonus Number (a $3 prize).

Q: How will I know what the Bonus Number is for each drawing?
A: The Bonus Number will be clearly shown after the first six numbers drawn on the winning numbers page of the lottery website at MyArkansasLottery.com.

CLAIMING PRIZES

Q: Where can I cash my LOTTO ticket?
A: Players can cash their winning LOTTO tickets at any licensed ASL Retailer (Up to $500) or at our Claim Center at 124 W Capitol Ave, Little Rock, AR 72201 (1st Floor Union Plaza Building).

Q: Do LOTTO tickets expire?
A: Prizes must be claimed within 180 days of the draw date on which the prize was won.

Q: Can I redeem a winning LOTTO ticket in any state?
A: No, it must be redeemed in Arkansas.

Q: I lost my ticket. Can I claim a prize with a playslip or store receipt?
A: LOTTO prizes can only be claimed with a ticket printed from the lottery terminal. Playslips or store receipts will not constitute proof of purchase.
